B-1

B-one is a sleek new basement bar in Itaewon. This place used to be grungy place called the J bar until the new owners (same owners as Queen) gave it an amazing makeover. B-one has been completely retro-fitted and the space is so design, you can hardly believe you’re in Itaewon.

As you walk downstairs, you can survey the whole room. It’s a medium-sized rectangular space. There’s a large bar running along the main wall. The wall behind the bar features uneven stone tiles with halogen accent lighting. Dramatic uplighting highlights the liquor bottles lined against the wall. The rear area has a row of white leather banquettes with low candle-lit tables. The middle of the room has lavender suede stools and copper leather beaches. The owners purposely picked furniture that would be durable enough to withstand dancing! And, furniture can be moved around if people decide they want to get their groove on!
There’s also sexy red VIP enclave near the entrance which is a perfect spot for a bottle of champagne. The walls and floors are all decorated with sumptuous imported tiles. The DJ booth, at the bottom of the stairs, has a back wall decorated with rusted steel.
The music at B-One ranges from downtempo lounge to funky house to anything that will get your bootie shaking. In fact, there are plans to bring in lots of guest DJ’s. One guest DJ that will be spinning soon is one of Korea’s top male models! The owners are also looking for a calypso band. It’s obvious this place is going to take-off like a rocketship with all the fun parties already planned.
The crowd at B-One is mixed. There are a lot of boys who like boys and a lot of fashion people. B-One draws a chic and sexy crowd with it’s slick atmosphere.
If you get hungry, you can also order bar snacks from the menu. There are cheese sticks quesadillas, buffalo wings, salads and a cold cuts platter with cheese. Bar snacks are around 10,000-20,000 won. Drinks are also not outrageously priced.

B-One is in the alley next to the Hamilton shopping center. (The one that leads up to Mogul Indian restaurant)
