THE SPOT


The Spot is a live music venue which mainly features punk and alternative rock bands. It's quite popular due to it's convenient location right next to the playground ajacent to Hongik University. The Spot is a small basement bar that's rectangular in shape. The stage is at the front of the venue and the bar is at the back towards the entrance. One wall is decorated with some square steel plates. It's mainly a standing room-only venue except for a banquette which runs along the wall. If you want to sit down, you there are also a few tables with benches closer to the bar. The crowd is alternative. The bartender has tatoos all over his forearms and there are oftentimes people there with mowhawks. There are a fair share of foreigners here, many working in education.
