Conti is particularly enchanting because it has rustic charm
and a great view of the mountains around the Samchong area.
The restaurant is a renovated old Korean house with exposed
brick walls, high, wood-beamed ceilings and a cozy fireplace.
It almost feels like a log cabin at a ski resort. Their specialty
is wines. The lunch menu which includes soup, salad, a main
course and coffee is only 11,000 won! Romanee Conti is more
of a wine bar, but the food is decent. You can choose from teriyaki
hamburger steak, Coq au Vin or Spagetti. Come in the daytime
to enjoy the peaceful and romantic view. If you are on the street
which borders the right side of the Kyongbuk Palace, you turn
right at the light just before the Blue House. Kukje Gallery
is on the corner. This is the main drag of Samcheong Dong. Go
up about 300 meters and you will see a restaurant on the right
hand side called La Mama. Romanee Conti is up some stairs just
